Features
Small steps, five paths
Piano keys, Treble, Bass, Beats and Tunes. Every lesson goes learn, practice, quiz, with helpers along the way and no timer or lives.
A real piano sound
Every note plays on a sampled piano. Tap a note on the staff or a key on the keyboard to hear it.
Feel the beat
A soft metronome counts along while kids tap rhythms. Half, whole and eighth notes, quarter, half, whole and eighth rests, counting in three and dotted notes, then what each one is worth: ¼, ½, 1 and ⅛ of a whole note.
Famous tunes
Fifteen public-domain tunes, from Hot Cross Buns and Twinkle, Twinkle to Für Elise. Name each lit-up note, then find it on the keys.
Notes, keys or beats
Practice note names on the staff, keys on the keyboard, or note lengths. Pick treble, bass or both, add sharps and flats, and read one note or a four-note card.
Three challenges
Race the clock for one to three minutes with three lives, run a drill of 10, 20 or 30 questions, or play survival until the third miss.
Progress and best scores
The Results tab keeps progress through each path, plus the best score and streak for every game.
16 languages, your note names
Notes read as letters (C D E), solfège (Do Re Mi) or German names (H, Fis, Es), matched to the language and changeable in Settings. Arabic, Persian and Hebrew read right to left.
iPhone and iPad
Portrait or landscape. On iPad the staff, keys and answer chips grow a size. Light and dark themes.
Private and ad-free
No accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. Progress stays on the device, and links out of the app wait behind a quick grown-up check.
