Do I need a keyboard?

A hardware keyboard (Magic Keyboard, Smart Keyboard or any Bluetooth keyboard) is best for learning touch typing. Without one, tap the keys of the guide keyboard on screen: shift works for the next letter and a delete key steps back. The iPad's own on-screen keyboard stays hidden so it never covers the lesson.

How do lessons unlock?

In order. Pass a lesson with 90% accuracy (from Common words on, also its words-per-minute goal) to open the next one. A miss offers another try straight away.

Why does a times-table question pop up before a link opens?

Links out of the app (this support page and the privacy policy) wait behind a quick grown-up check, so a child doesn't land on the web by accident. Pick the right answer to continue.

How do I start over?

Settings › Reset progress erases lesson progress on that iPad. With players, it asks whose progress first.
