Eddyline Support
A calm RSS reader for Mac, iPhone and iPad: follow sites, YouTube channels and Mastodon or Bluesky profiles, and read them in one quiet timeline.
Need help or found a bug? Email support@zubin.dev or message me, Zubin Khavarian, on X (@zkmake). Include your device and its macOS or iOS version.
How do I add a feed?
On the Mac, choose File › New Feed…; on iPhone and iPad, tap + above the sidebar. Paste a site's address and Eddyline finds its feed, including YouTube channels and playlists, Mastodon, Bluesky and Medium profiles, and GitHub projects.
Can I bring my feeds from another reader?
Yes. Export an OPML file from your old reader, then choose File › Import Subscriptions… on the Mac, or Import Subscriptions in the ••• menu above the sidebar on iPhone and iPad. Export Subscriptions makes one to take elsewhere.
My devices aren't syncing.
Check that each device is signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud on, and that Sync with iCloud is on in Eddyline's Settings (turning it on or off takes effect the next time you open Eddyline). Changes usually arrive within a minute.
What are the shortcuts?
On a Mac, or an iPad with a keyboard, in the article list: j and k move, Space pages through the article then goes to the next unread, m marks read or unread, s stars, l saves for Later, f shows the full article and b opens it in your browser. On iPhone and iPad, swipe an article to star it, save it for Later or mark it read.
How do I highlight and export?
Select text in an article and choose Highlight (or press Shift-Command-H on the Mac). Export Highlights, in the File menu on the Mac or the ••• menu on iPhone and iPad, saves every highlight and note as Markdown, and Settings › Services can send them to Readwise.
