Solve It! teaches the math that comes before Algebra 1 one idea at a time, with animated pictures that show why each rule works: why two negatives make a positive, why you flip and multiply, why the same move keeps a balance level. Short lessons, no timer and no lives. When a skill clicks, the Play tab turns it into a quick game.

Features

  • 36 lessons in eight tracks

    Negative numbers, fractions and decimals, exponents and roots, scientific notation, ratios and rates, percent, expressions and equations. Every lesson goes learn, practice, quiz.

  • Pictures that show why

    A thermometer, zero pairs, number line hops, algebra tiles, an area model, a balance, ratio tables, double number lines, tape diagrams, percent bars, fraction bars and decimal grids.

  • Hints for the exact slip

    A wrong answer brings the picture back with a hint about that mistake: adding the bottoms, flipping the wrong fraction, a sign error, reading a percent as dollars.

  • Five games

    Integer blitz, Solve for x, Ratio tables, Percent of, and Powers and roots. Pick the operations, or one-step, two-step or negative equations.

  • Two challenges

    Race the clock for one to three minutes with three lives, or answer 20, 40 or 60 in a row as fast as you can.

  • Progress and best scores

    The Results tab keeps the best score or time for every game and challenge, progress through each track, and recent games.

  • Players

    Optional players, each with a name and a picture, so everyone on a shared device keeps their own progress.

  • iPhone and iPad

    Portrait or landscape. Light and dark themes. Pick a grade (6, 7 or 8) for a suggested start; every lesson stays open.

  • Private and ad-free

    No accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. Progress stays on the device, and links out of the app wait behind a quick grown-up check.
