Trace It Privacy Policy

Trace It for iPhone and iPad · Effective September 29, 2026

The short version: Trace It collects no personal information from anyone, children included. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

What stays on your device

The app saves lesson progress, ABC stars, drill results, settings (sound, theme, language, letter case, difficulty) and any players you add on your device only. It never sends them anywhere, and I can't see them. Settings › Reset progress erases lesson progress and drill results (with players, it asks whose first); deleting a player erases their name, picture and progress; deleting the app erases everything.

Players

Players are optional. A player is a name and one of twelve pictures, so everyone on a shared device keeps their own lessons, stars and drills. A first name or a nickname is plenty. Players stay on the device with the rest of the app's data and are never sent anywhere.

Network

The app works offline. It doesn't connect to the internet. Links in Settings › About open in your browser.

Children

Trace It is made to be safe for young learners. Because it collects no personal information, it collects none from children under 13, in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the GDPR.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
